Miquita started her presenting career at a very young age - she was still studying for her GCSE's at the time.
She landed her first gig in 2000 presenting with Simon Amstell on C4's Flagship music show POPWORLD. The dynamic duo were known for their great rapport and sharp wit and the show won several awards. They presented together for an astonishing 6 years.
A firm favourite in the T4 family, she has spent the last few years hosting the main show (following June Sarpong's departure) presenting with Steve Jones and Rick Edwards.
Miquita had a busy summer hosting the O2 WIRELESS FESTIVAL and T4 ON THE BEACH in July. She continued her run of festivals alongside her T4 friends hosting V FESTIVAL for C4. In February 2009 she presented the backstage coverage of the NME Awards for Channel 4. She again presented T4 on the Beach this year in July, alongside fellow presenters Rick Edwards and Steve Jones.
She hosted the FIRST LIGHT MOVIE AWARDS in March in Leicester Square's Odeon alongside fellow T4 presenter Rick Edwards. Firmly supported by a host of established talents (Sienna Miller and Danny Boyle were among this year's attendees), the event honoured the best of a series of films made by young people across Britain in an inspiring and exciting showcase of fresh young talent.
Her own 4Music show, THE MONTH WITH MIQUITA, is also shown on 4Music. This show sees Miquita interviewing the stars of music in the past month with great performances and sketches.
Miquita also writes her own culture blog, which can be found at www.miquitaoliver.wordpress.com.
