TV presenter and fashion journalist, Louise Roe fronts both the US and UK versions of her makeover show, Plain Jane, (CW network and MTV), a format that sees her guide a shy wallflower each wek through the daunting gauntlet of fashion, make-up, dating skills and facing their biggest fear – whatever that may be. The MTV series will air in 66 countries around the globe during 2011.

The brand news series will air on MTV at 8pm on 19th October. The show will run for 8 weeks.

As a cast member of MTV’s The City, Louise put her fashion journalism skills to good use, hosting trend videos and designer interviews for Elle.com. A regular face on E! Entertainment’s red carpets and Fashion Police, she co-hosted the channel’s biggest show of the year: Live from the Oscars, Perfect Catch, and recently performed makeovers as a guest on Chelsea Lately.

Born in the UK but based in LA, Louise presented BBC’s dramatic documentary Addicted To Boob Jobs and long-standing style series The ClothesShow, before moving stateside. The new face of Italian fashion label Hogan, she fronted campaigns for Adidas and Bloomingdales in 2010, and has featured as a guest host on Britain’s Next Top Model, Project Catwalk, Style Network’s How Do I Look, 10 Things I Hate About Me, and Make Me a Supermodel. Louise writes a bi-monthly column for MSN News, called Front Roe, and has written for Elle, Vogue.com, In Style, Glamour and Cosmopolitan magazine.

Working with the British Consulate in LA, Louise is a member of the Britweek Committee, helping cross-pollenate Anglo and American culture through events and charity initiatives. She also volunteers for children’s literacy charity BookPals, Dressed For Success, the Art of Elysium, and is an honorary fellow at Southampton’s Solent University where she lectures fashion students twice a year. Louise is currently brand ambassador for Range Rover, Miche handbags, and has worked frequently with global brands including Macy’s, Marks&Spencer, Gap’s Piperlime, Bebe, Sear’s, Alfa Romeo and Littlewoods (the UK’s third largest online retailer).
