Livia Firth began her career as documentary producer – her last documentary, In Prison My Whole Life, directed by Marc Evan, was officially selected at all the major film festivals in the world and won Best Documentary at the International Human Rights Awards in Geneva in 2007.

In 2008 Livia and her brother opened Eco Age – an exciting new business concept and the first in the world of its kind. A store, showroom, consultancy and green hub to offer inspiration, ideas and specific domestic solutions for all those who want to lead a greener and more energy efficient life. Livia is creative director of the company and the shop now exists online – www.eco-age.com.

Eco-age.com is an online magazine for the curious consumer offer inspirations on the best of ethical fashion and accessories worldwide.

In December 2009 Livia and Lucy Siegle, (The Observer journalist and author of “To Die For”) launched The Green Carpet Challenge to encourage A list actors and designers to wear and make ethical clothing for awards season. Today they are regarded as some of the leading promoters of ethical fashion worldwide.

Livia is an Oxfam ambassador and two years ago, together with Annie Lennox, created The Circle, a women group for Oxfam. Livia has travelled to Ethiopia, Kenya, Bangladesh and Zambia and hosted various events in London.
Livia is also an active member of other several non-profit organisations and regularly collaborates with The Refugee Council in London, Amnesty International and Reprieve.

In May 2011 she received the “Galileo Award” from the European Institute in Florence for her work on human rights.

In September 2011 she received the Award for Philanthropist of the Year at the Quintessentially Luxury Awards in London.

Since September 2011 Livia is also a monthly contributor to Marie Claire Italia with her page “Wo(o)nder Women”.

She currently resides in London with her husband Colin, three children, one cat and four fish.
