Daisy is a hugely successful British model.
She grew up in Primrose Hill and is the daughter of singer/songwriter turned fashion designer Pearl Lowe and musician Gavin Rossdale. She signed with the famous London modelling agency, Select, four years ago at the age of 15. Her first ever assignment was a fragrance ad for label Agent Provocateur.
In February 2006, Lowe was featured in Italian Vogue shot by New York photographer, Steven Klein, who also shot her for the uber-cool W magazine in a feature called "Xurbia". Daisy has modelled for Urban Outfitters, appeared in French Connection printed advertisements and was profiled in British Harper’s Bazaar. Lowe featured in an editorial in Jane magazine alongside fellow model Lydia Hearst-Shaw in 2007, featured in Italian Vogue for the second time in May of that year, and in August posed nude on the cover of i-D magazine. She was also picked by Karl Lagerfeld to catwalk model for Chanel, and has modelled for Agent Provocateur, Vivienne Westwood, Burberry and Whistles.
Daisy describes her style as “Wizard of Oz-meets-Sex Pistols”; an inspired take on the season that finds a comfortable place on “best dressed” lists in the UK and beyond.
Rock’n’roll heiress Daisy has already been named “the new style icon of her generation” by Italian Vogue’s Marilena Borgna. She encapsulates the bold indie glamour of her mother Pearl (Britpop singer turned fashion designer) and the blithe coolness of step-father Danny Goffrey (drummer in Supergrass).
Daisy is a natural in front of the camera and has the fashion world at her feet. She says, “Modelling is a cool outlet for me to express myself, and fashion has always fascinated me. I love that fashion crosses into my other passions - music and art".
She has participated in other fields, including being the focus of a BBC Two eight-part fly on the wall documentary called "Class of 2008".
Earlier this year she fulfilled two lifetime ambitions, one was shooting with acclaimed photographer Jurgen Teller (whom she flew to Greece to meet and ended up staying with him and his family in their villa). The other was being interviewed by top US mag 'Interview' Magazine in New York. This came about when Vivienne Westwood choose her as 'the face of the future in fashion, and 'the new British Supermodel'. All of this at the tender age of 19.
September 2008 saw Daisy's three new campaigns launching and her modeling in London Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week (Samantha Ronson, PPQ and Vivienne Westood). Daisy is the new face of iconic British label 'Converse', High Street fashion label Karen Millen and for a third season, Agent Provocateur.
