Alesha has just finished filming a challenging documentary on body image for BBC Three. This will be aired at the end June.
She is working on a brand new album with the producer credited with Girls Aloud's amazing success, Brian Higgins/Xenomania. She had various amazing offers from top record labels, and recently signed with Asylum Records which is under the umbrella of the music giant, Atlantic Records. The album, as yet untitled will be due for UK release this Autumn.
After a back-breaking but fantastic time on STRICTLY COME DANCING, Alesha won the public's hearts and was voted winner in front of 12.5 million viewers - a record for the BBC 1 show.
Alesha was originally part of the girl band MIS-TEEQ who had 7 top ten singles and 2 top ten albums. Their release of 'Scandalous' was a huge hit both here and in the US.
2008 is a very exciting year for Alesha with a new album and her first film role. MILESTONES is about the London Jazz scene and Alesha plays Serena, a lead role alongside Alex Kingston and Brian Cox. She will also write a song for the music score. There is no tx date as yet, but it's likely to be 2009.
