Amanda is best known for presenting C4's 'A Place in the Sun'.
Spotted by a model scout at the age of 21 she moved to London and signed with Storm. She famously secured a lucrative commercials contract and became 'The Scottish Widow' at 22, a deal she had for a remarkable 11 years.
At the age of 28 she was offered 'A Place in the Sun' and has never looked back. Not bad for a girl who started her professional life as a cleaner and bar maid.
Although 'A Place in the sun' is a priority, Amanda is also developing a dating show for radio.
Amanda lives in a beautiful apartment in Richmond, Surrey and putting her 'money where her mouth is' she has just bought a beautiful holiday home in Nardo, Italy after visiting the country for the the new series which begins on 29th March on C4.
Amanda is a keen cook after picking up tips from her chef brother. She also enjoys alternative therapies and is learning to read tarot cards at the moment.
In April Amanda will visit India with the homeless charity, Shelter where she will help build a house for a family who lost theirs in the Tsunami.
