EQUUS opened at the Chichester Festival Theatre and received a standing ovation on press night. The show is on a Nationwide Tour and will be visiting at a range of venues throughout the country including Edinburgh, Newcastle, Sheffield and will finish in Richmond on May 19th. Mr Allen plays the lead role of Alan Strang, recently played by Daniel Radcliffe. The amazing Simon Callow is to play opposite him as Dr. Martin Dysart.
Last year was a great year for Alfie who is quickly becoming one of Britain\'s most exciting acting talents. March brings CASUALTY 1907 for the BBC which gives us a gritty insight into life at the Royal London Hospital 100 years ago - likely to tx in March.
Alfie is a talented young actor, already being hotly tipped as \'One to Watch\' after his performance in the acclaimed feature film ATONEMENT. The \'Oscar tipped\' movie also stars Keira Knightley and James McAvoy, and is an adaptation of the Ian McEwan novel.
Forthcoming feature films include THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL with Natalie Portman and FLASHBACKS OF A FOOL with Daniel Craig which is released on the 18th April. Craig also believes the young actor has real potential and was recently quoted saying that he thought Hollywood would be calling soon.
His impressive Television credits include JERICHO, THE GOLDEN HOUR and more recently Stephen Poliakoff\'s drama for the BBC called JOE\'S PALACE.
Alfie is the son of Keith Allen and Film Producer Alison Owen, and brother of Lily Allen. He is 21 and lives in North London.
