Alex has built up a tremendously loyal fan base for his fantastic XFM Breakfast show (weekdays from 6am-10am).

He joined his former Popworld co-star Alexa Chung to present the ELLE STYLE AWARDS in West London.

Alex presented the very popluar C4 music show, 'mobileAct unsigned'. The show saw Alex and a panel of experts (Jo Whiley, Alex James and Simon Gavin) scour the country in search of a fantastic new band. The winner won a record deal with prestigious Universal Records. Guest judges on the show included Lily Allen, Calvin Harris and Mutya Buena.

On Saturday 21st June, his radio show and turned into a 24 hour music fest. ‘Xfm’s All Day Breakfast’, hosted by Alex featured live music from a jam packed line-up that included acts such as the legendary Paul Weller, Feeder, Primal Scream and Guillemots. The show visited legendary music venures such as Barfly, Koko and Union Chapel to name but a few.

Alex originally started training as a doctor but gave up medicine to pursue his passions of stand up and music. Alex has a strong comedy background, making his debut as a finalist in Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny, This talent has helped him develop an original and witty presenting style.

Like many budding DJs Alex found his feet on student radio, and it was here that he was spotted by fellow comedian and former XFM presenter Ricky Gervais, who invited him down to meet with XFM bosses. This lead to Alex presenting the 10 'til 1 slot on Saturday mornings, which he jokingly referred to as the 'Gervais warm up show'. He is rare amongst his contemporaries, writing his own scripts wherever possible. A talented and credible comedy writer, Alex's credits also include The Eleven O'clock Show (C4), Smack The Pony (C4) and The Sketch Show (ITV1).

A huge music fan, Alex has presented several large scale and prestigious live music events such as the Reading Festival, Party in the Park and the huge Tsunami Benefit gig at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
